Some of my favorite resources for language development and feeding:
Speech and Language Toys - These toys are some of my favorite materials to help children develop their expressive and receptive language skills. These toys are great for targeting identifying items, labeling nouns, modeling pronouns, modeling verbs, working on verbal routines, modeling use of adjectives, and much much more! Follow along on my socials for videos to gather ideas on how to use these toys or similar toys you may have at home.
Sensory Tools/Regulation - These items may help your child take control of their body and feelings to perform appropriate actions when they are feeling dysregulated. Regulation is key in being able to connect with your child and focus on tasks that may be more difficult for them, such and speech or feeding.
Feeding - These tools may assist your child when exploring new foods. They may help make mealtimes become less anxiety inducing and more enjoyable.
Games - I am a game lover. These are my favorite games for younger kids. These are also great to use to work on speech and language or to use when introducing new foods. I often like to use them as breaks.
Kids Books - Reading is SO important for developing a child’s speech and language skills. These are some of my favorite kids books. I highly recommend reading books to your kids and reading frequently.
