Frequently asked questions

How do I know what services my child may need?

I will provide information on the specific services recommended for your child after completing an initial evaluation. If you are not sure your child needs speech therapy services, please reach out and I can conduct a free 15 minute screener (or preliminary evaluation) over Zoom or over the phone to see if your child qualifies for services.

What should I expect from my first appointment? Is there anything I need to bring?

A parent or caregiver who can answer all questions regarding your child’s speech and language or feeding concerns is required at the time of the initial evaluation. If you have other documentation you would like to provide such as copies of IEP paperwork or documentation from doctors or other providers, you are more than welcome to! This is not required.

Where are services conducted?

Services will be completed in your home! This tends to be more convenient and a more natural setting for your child to improve their speech and language skills. Initial evaluations will require a table and quiet place to complete the formalized assessment section of the evaluation.

Do you take insurance?

I currently do not work with insurance companies, although this is something I am beginning to explore. In the meantime, I do provide SuperBills which can be used to gain reimbursement from your personal insurance provider.
